Tanya was the Assistant Provost at Ithaca College, and served as such for 19 years, as well as Dean of Interdisciplinary and International Studies for six years. As Assistant Provost, she coordinated the development of new interdisciplinary programs and served on various steering committees. Tanya also supervised the Center for the Study of Culture, Race, and Ethnicity at Ithaca College.
Tanya Saunders is a graduate of Brown University with a Ph.D and Masters in Hispanic Studies. Her collegiate accreditation also includes professional coursework with the HERS Summer Institute for Women in Higher Education from Bryn Mawr College. Tanya is an esteemed panelist and presenter, having participated in conferences at Princeton University, Coppin State University, and at the Institute for International Education of Students Annual Conference in Chicago.
