Savannah Sprague graduated from Wells College in 2017, where she was studying creative writing. During her time at Wells College, she had the privilege of studying abroad for a semester in Bath, England. Many of the classes she was able to explore in Bath weren’t available in the states. Savannah recommends, “Everyone should experience studying abroad.” After Wells College, she moved to Kailua-Kona, Hawaii and will be going to grad school to get her Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in creative writing.
Reminiscing about her New Roots experience, “New Roots is a community that focuses on many important aspects of life. Plus The community is integrated with the Ithaca community. I believe it helps students think more about their surroundings. New Roots is also very good at working with the individual needs of students in order to help them learn the way that works for them. The teachers and staff at New Roots are looking out for their students.”
