“Odysseus Project”

The Odysseus Project created the rocket used in the 2021 American Rocketry Challenge by the New Roots Rocketry and Aerospace Team. The Odysseus V3 was the Final iteration, coming within 10 ft of it’s 800 ft target altitude and within 1 second of it’s 43 second target flight time. The entire rocket was modeled in an engineering software called CAD and printed from a 3D printer and measures over 1&1/2 ft when fully assembled. The Odysseus V3 worked so well in fact that it almost brought The New Roots Rocketry and Aerospace Team to the nationals. The Odysseus Project will be a stepping stone for following years and the Team has concluded the project a resounding success.
