Special Education (HS)

Quiana has been in education for almost 20 years. She started as a substitute teacher in her hometown of Elmira, NY. After that, Quiana had the pleasure of working as a special education teacher in a charter school for 6 years in Washington, DC. She is excited to bring the skills she gained from her background in charter school education to the New Roots community.

Quiana is very excited to be a part of the New Roots team, and looks forward to helping all the students she works with. She loves to watch them grow both academically and socially, and hopes to do so for years to come.

Quiana enjoys spiritual reading, and activities that bring her closer to God’s creation.
