Middle School Math Teacher
As I grew up in Ithaca, I fell in love with learning about the world through the lenses of math and science. During my time as a student at LACS, I realized the power in learning by engaging with the local environment and community. I want to share my passion for learning with others, so after studying both Mathematics and Physics at SUNY Geneseo, I returned to Ithaca, earning my M.A.T. from Ithaca College. I believe everyone can learn to use math confidently, especially if guided through context-rich problem-solving. I’m excited to join the New Roots community and build a middle school together! In my spare time I hang out with my two cats, play and listen to music, play tabletop games, and I even do math for fun using Desmos! I also enjoy walks through our local forests and by our local bodies of water.
