Katie grew up in Ithaca, NY, and is raising her family here. She is passionate about education and amplifying young people’s voices. Katie loves New Roots’s commitment to experiential education in the areas of the natural world and climate responsiveness. 

In addition to her work as the Community Engagement and Enrollment Coordinator, Katie manages the programs under the EarthForce umbrella. In this role, she coordinates internship and work-based learning support for high school students.

Katie enjoys meeting students and their families and sharing what New Roots is all about, so that they can decide if the school is a good fit for them. When not at school, Katie can be found knitting, cooking, or somewhere in the woods.
