Jennifer Lawrence Birnbaum is excited to join the New Roots community as the middle school music teacher. She has music education degrees from Ithaca College and Columbia University, and previously taught in Watkins Glen, Little Red School House in NYC, ICSD, and local Montessori schools. She also has a private music studio of piano and voice students, and conducts an adult recorder ensemble.

In her spare time, Jennifer enjoys outdoor adventures with her family, attending concerts, reading historical fiction novels, and watching medical dramas.
