Math Teacher
I am from El Paso, Texas and I’ve lived and taught secondary math all over from Colorado all the way to Tanzania and Morocco! From an early age, my dad always instilled in me the importance of giving back to my community and I knew quickly that teaching was the job for me! I feel so lucky to have been able to do my part in all these places and I’m now so excited to get to be a part of the New Roots team. I am looking forward to helping facilitate students in more sustainability efforts, sharing opportunities for them to become contributing members to their community, and encouraging them to be their happiest and truest selves! Outside of school, I love exploring new places, learning about other languages and cultures, hiking, playing sports like basketball and volleyball, singing, and cooking!
