Social Studies Teacher
I am originally from Pittsburgh (PA) and majored in Political Science at Colorado College. After graduation, I moved to Ithaca and worked for a few years at the Downtown Ithaca Alliance, helping to plan community events like the Apple Harvest Festival and Chili Cook-Off. I then decided to transition into education and moved to Nashville to earn an M.Ed in Secondary Education from Vanderbilt University. After graduating, I moved to Arizona to live and work on the Hopi Nation as a social studies teacher. I moved back to Ithaca in 2021 and this will be my second year at New Roots. I look forward to working with students to help them develop the academic and civic skills necessary to build a just and democratic society.
