Kitchen Coordinator

Aron started as Kitchen Coordinator in the Fall of 2025. He prepares delicious and nutritious hot lunches, serving around 100 students and staff everyday. Aron also takes care of ordering supplies and setting the menus. 

Over the years Aron has worked extensively in education and food service, and gravitated toward mission and community-driven endeavors, with stints at Ithaca College, The ABC Cafe, GreenStar Cooperative Market, Lehman Alternative Community School, and most recently, at McGraw House. He also has spent several summers cooking and overseeing the kitchen at Camp Common Ground in Vermont. Aron enjoys the community atmosphere and youthful energy at New Roots and is grateful for the opportunity to provide nourishment for the growing bodies and minds of New Roots students.

Aron loves learning about foods and music of various cultures. When not in the kitchen, Aron spends a lot of time with his wife Wendy and their curly dogs, Tucker and Stewie, exploring beautiful walking trails in the area.
