Kitchen Coordinator
I have lived in Ithaca for over 25 years after growing up in the Cortland/Homer area, and spending some time abroad. I raised a family here and enjoy being part of the community.
Over the years I have worked extensively in education and food service, and gravitated toward mission and community-driven endeavors, with stints at Ithaca College, The ABC Cafe, Greenstar Cooperative Market, Lehman Alternative Community School, and most recently, at McGraw House. I enjoy working in a school environment, and I look forward to providing nutritious and delicious food for New Roots’ students’ developing bodies and minds. I especially like introducing people to new dishes and hearing about their family favorites.
I love experiencing foods and music of various cultures. When not in the kitchen, I spend a lot of time with my wife Wendy and our curly dogs, Tucker and Stewie, exploring beautiful walks in the area.
