ABOUT ALLYN ROSENBAUM
Operations Manager and FOIL Officer
Allyn is an Ithaca native and grew up attending Ithaca’s first alternative schools, helping to establish a rich history of non-traditional schools in our region. She is deeply committed to working in a school that encourages acceptance thinking and offers both a refuge and launch pad for our students.
She is a New Roots founding staff member and creator of the Farm to School meal program, which is dedicated to minimally processed foods, experiential learning, and local food procurement.
Allyn is currently in the role of Operations Manager, working to keep things running smoothly for the New Roots community. Allyn was drawn to this role to help create and support an environment of hands-on, project-based learning that boosts critical thinking, real-world problem-solving, diverse learning styles and fostering independence, resilience, and stronger social-emotional growth.
Outside of work Allyn enjoys spending time with family and friends, feeding people, and watching football. Go Bills!!
