Program Manager

Tina Deppe is thrilled to join the New Roots team as Program Manager. She is deeply inspired by New Roots’ commitment to sustainability, climate action, community connection, and individualized care for every student. Although her background is primarily in finance, Tina looks forward to applying her experience and perspective to support the program’s goals and serve the New Roots community.

Originally from a small town outside Cincinnati, Ohio, Tina earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Mount Saint Joseph University. After graduating in 1990, she moved to Chicago and began a 30‑year career in accounting. While she enjoyed the energy of city life, she and her husband, Fred, eventually felt called to a quieter pace. They sold their home in Chicago and settled on a 16‑acre farmette in Van Etten, NY, where their family could grow, explore, and enjoy the outdoors.

Tina loves spending time with her family and being active. She enjoys hiking with her husband, shopping with her daughter, relaxing at the beach, and cheering on college football—especially The Ohio State Buckeyes.
