Social Studies Teacher
I was born outside of Washington DC and fostered a love of History from a young age. I moved into upstate NY to study History and Education at Syracuse University and fell in love with the area. While studying I also developed a passion for the ways that our shared history and the stories we tell inform who we are as communities. I am so excited to bring that passion into my classroom at New Roots and help students to work towards creating a more just and equitable society. In my free time I enjoy reading, learning about other cultures and people, and playing video games.
