ABOUT ELISA COLLINS ZINDA
Science Teacher (Middle School)
Elisa is an uprooted Michigan native, who was transplanted in Ithaca in 2016 with her partner and two children. She began college by studying Forest Conservation, but a course on forest insects ignited an interest in entomology that led to her first teaching job: hosting field trip groups at the MSU Bug House. Elisa later earned a Master of Arts in Science Education and teaching certifications in Biology and General Science.
Elisa’s interests are eclectic and constantly growing, but a deep love for science and nature is constant. She is rarely far from books and yarn.
