MS Math Teacher

Tamar grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and found her way to the East Coast about 15 years ago. She holds a degree in mathematics from the University of California, Berkeley, and has taught math in various capacities over the past 20 years. Tamar particularly enjoys helping students discover the joy and absolute satisfaction that can be found in successfully solving a math problem. She loves witnessing students’ “Aha!” moments and encouraging them to find their mathematical confidence. In her spare time, Tamar enjoys knitting, gardening, and reading dystopian novels with her daughter. Tamar is very excited to be joining the New Roots community and looks forward to getting to know her students as mathematicians and learners.
