Born and raised in the Adirondacks, I came to New Roots in 2011 after living and working in Guatemala for 15 years. I have a Bachelors in Fine Arts and a Masters in Sustainable Development and I enjoy working at New Roots because my work spans both disciplines and feeds my passions for sustainability and social justice. As Program Coordinator, I develop community-based education opportunities that are mutually beneficial to our students and our community. I believe that education is as much about academics as it is about personal growth and well-being. My hope is that all New Roots students make meaningful and inspiring real-world connections on their paths to becoming engaged citizens and lifelong learners.
