Academic Intervention Specialist

Being raised in the Finger Lakes and then moving to and teaching in Tampa, FL, I have experienced the extremes in the educational system. With over 18 years of experience, I endeavor to create lasting relationships with each student and help them become their best selves.

I have a varied background, growing up on a small family farm, getting degrees in Interdisciplinary Science and Biology, and my Masters in Education in Advanced Sciences and Leadership. My hobbies are cultivating new and lasting Monarch Butterfly gardens, reading various genres of books, cross-stitching, and anything to do with environmental science. I have a love for animals and have worked as a vet tech for most of my life. I am SCUBA certified and have enjoyed diving in many different bodies of water, looking at coral reef systems, and watching aquatic life.

I look forward to my first year at New Roots Charter School!
