I am the Spanish teacher at New Roots. I am originally from Spain where I earned my degree in English at the University of Oviedo. I spent the final year of my degree at the University of Leeds, England, where I discovered my passion for teaching. After that, I went back to Spain and earned my first M.A. in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language. I also volunteered for two different NGOs, where I taught Spanish to adult immigrants. This was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. My adventure in the United States began at the University of Utah where I taught Spanish. I lived in Salt Lake City for two years, and grew to love the natural landscape while improving my teaching skills. I received a M.A. in Language Pedagogy and moved to Ithaca with great anticipation. I am truly excited to teach at New Roots and explore this beautiful region with my dog Ellie.
