What are you up to now?

I am currently taking a gap year to network in my passion, photography. I mostly specialize in Equestrian Sports and Polo. I shoot events and games for Cornell University Polo and shoot about four to five high goal tournaments a year. I am planning on completeing two years of photography at the Community College of Santa Fe, followed by two years of Marketing at Colorado State University.

What is a noteworthy opportunity you have taken advantage of on your college or career path in the past year?

I shot 10 goal snow polo in Saint Moritz, Switzerland, made wonderful connections and took amazing photographs. I was also asked to cover the Gay Polo League Tournament in Wellington, Florida, which also allowed me to cover the first round of the 112th U.S. Open of Polo.

How has New Roots helped you get to where you want to be?

New Roots allowed me to adapt my work to my passion. On top of that, I taught a class under the supervision of Maria Gimma, which opened up the world of cameras to me. I would like to extend a special thanks to her.

What is next for you?

Attending college to better my skills with the camera and marketing myself. After that I hope to become a household name as a photographer in the Equestrian/Polo world. It'll happen, trust me. Make goals, smash them!

What's your one-sentence definition of "success"?

Following your dreams, making goals and smashing them. I told myself last year that I would be hired to shoot at the International Polo Club, it happened.
